As the Golden Door website claims: Experience the extraordinary healing power of Golden Door. And this we did. We were in search of an experience that would recharge our minds AND our bodies. A Spring Break holiday that would be spent taking care of ourselves, where we would return to work feeling rested and healthy instead of the typical Spring Break, where one returns hungover and tired. That being said, we had no idea just how intense this week at The Golden Door would be. Our schedules were packed with exercise classes, training sessions and daily massages and facials. We got our butts kicked in the morning and we were pampered in the evenings. We were on a strict diet of healthy food – 3 very clean and portion-controlled meals and then 2 juice breaks. While the portions were small the food was outstanding. We also made an effort to make friends and experience things we would never have the chance to in our daily lives, i.e. dance classes! You can schedule as much or as little as you would like. There is always room for DYOT (Do Your Own Thing) and for us that meant sunbathing at the pool.
